Meet Dr. Raymond Carpenter
Dr. Carpenter has successfully practiced dentistry since 1976. He received his specialty certificate in 1986.
After growing up in southern California, Dr. Carpenter received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He went on to receive a dental degree (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, as a recipient of a U.S. Army Health Profession Scholarship. Following eight years of practice as a general dentist, Dr. Carpenter completed a post-graduate residency in Prosthodontics at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Carpenter has served on the faculty of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and has been an instructor of both Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at UCSF. He is currently on the faculty of the prestigious Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in Tarzana, California. He is an active member of the following organizations:
- American College of Prosthodontists
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- International College of Oral Implantologists
- Academy of Osseointegration
- San Diego County Dental Society
- American Dental Association
He is also a member and past president of the San Diego Prosthodontic Society, and a Crown Council dentist.
Dr. Carpenter has been living in San Diego's North County for over 20 years. He and his wife, Mary, have four children (Matthew, Amy, John, and Ashley), and three grandchildren.
