Dental Implants

Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and also
provide a fixed solution to having removable partial or complete
dentures. Implants provide excellent support and stability for
these dental appliances.

Dental implants are very strong, stable, and durable and will last many years, but on occasion, they will have to be re-tightened or replaced
due to normal wear.

Reasons for dental implants:

*Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
*Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
*Restore a patient’s confident smile.
*Restore chewing, speech, and digestion.
*Restore or enhance facial tissues.
*Support a bridge or denture, making them more secure and comfortable.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Carpenter's advanced specialized training can help you improve
your smile and raise your self-esteem with aesthetic and natural-looking smile restorations. We offer:

Safe and effective teeth whitening
Closing gaps between teeth
Concealing dental imperfections
Teeth reshaping

Metal free crowns and bridges

Reasons for Cosmetic Dentistry

*Repair decayed, broken, cracked, or chipped teeth.
*Replace missing teeth.
*Replace old, unattractive dental treatments

Smile Design

Smile Design begins with an examination and a personal consultation with Dr. Carpenter. Your lip line, facial shape, jaw angle, and eye symmetry are examined. Radiographs, impressions, or photographs
may be taken.

The doctor will discuss your needs and concerns, and answer all of
your questions. Dr. Carpenter believes that each of these elements are essential in designing the most beautiful, natural smile for each
individual patient.

After your smile design evaluation is complete, Dr. Carpenter will plan
a smile makeover. Our philosophy is to use the most conservative
dental technologies available to create the perfect smile.

FixedTooth Replacement

Traditional methods to replace a missing tooth or teeth include the fabrication of a bridge. To replace a missing tooth with a bridge, at
least one tooth on either side of the space created by the missing
tooth must be prepared for a crown. Then a false tooth is joined to
the crowns, and the entire structure is cemented to the prepared
teeth. The patient cannot remove the bridge, and special aids are available to keep it clean.

Today’s dental implants are typically made of titanium and may be parallel-sided or tapered and may or may not have threads. These
fixtures are placed into the jawbone and allowed to heal until they
are "integrated" into the bone. Dental implants may be used to
replace one, many or all of a patient’s teeth.

Removable Tooth Replacement

When there are multiple missing teeth, weak anchor teeth or no
posterior teeth to anchor on, a removable partial denture is used to replace teeth. These restorations typically are made of a metal
framework and a plastic base with teeth. They must be removed for
daily cleaning and at night.

When a patient no longer has any natural teeth, complete dentures
are the traditional method to restore function and appearance. Many patients experience difficulty wearing conventional dentures because
of poor stability and decreased chewing function. The use of dental implants to improve the stability and retention of dentures is
becoming quite popular.

Sedation Dentistry

We offer new and safe oral sedation techniques so you can have years
of dental treatment done quickly, with little or no discomfort. Sedation Dentistry is a safe and easy way to significantly reduce or eliminate
fear and anxiety. Sedation Dentistry refers to the way Dr. Carpenter
can manage pain and anxiety during your dental appointment. Sedation Dentistry helps eliminate the anxieties that people feel at the dental office and virtually eliminates the pain associated with dental procedures.

Laser Dentistry

We now offer cutting-edge technology with Laser Dentistry using the latest equipment from Versa Wave Technologies. The laser works by using energized water droplets that allow staff to gently and precisely work on dental procedures with no pain or heat. The laser dental system helps sterilize as it cuts, leaving less chance for bacteria contamination. It prepares teeth for maximum bonding of tooth colored enamel with absolutely NO anesthesia.

Advantages to Laser Dentistry Include: Ability to place many fillings without local anesthesia, no high-pitched whine or vibration from the grinding of a drill, sterilization of the tooth as it removes decay and reduction of recurrent decay under old fillings, more effective sealants because the laser removes any debris which can cause decay from the pits and grooves of the biting surfaces, more effective non-surgical gum treatment because lasers can sterilize pockets painlessly, treatment of canker sores and cold sores, more effective surgical procedures because there is no bleeding and the surgical field is sertilized of by the laser, no numb lip after patient leaves the dental office, desensitization of teeth.

Our office has been highly trained on this new procedure and welcome patients to experience the benefits of laser dentistry. Please call our office for an appointment.
