Meet Dr. Carpenter

I have been practicing dentistry for over 30 years now. It has been a very satisfying career. I really enjoy what I do and the enormous changes that have occured in the field of dentistry over all these years make it even more exciting to be a dentist right now. I'd like to tell you a little about myself and my approach to dentistry. Frist of all my wife Mary and I live in Poway and have four children. I received my dental training at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. After practicing for eight years as a general dentist. I decided to go back to school to specialize in the area of dentistry called prosthodontics. One of the specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. A prosthodontist is a specialist in replacing or restoring missing, broken, unnattractive or diseased teeth. We do all the procedures you may be familiar with such as crowns bridges, dentures, partial dentures, and all types of fillings or other tooth restorations . The prosthodontist is alway very familiar with dental implants and is trained to treat full mouth rehabilitation cases. These are situations where many if not all of the teeth are severly worn down, loose or decayed. You may read more about prosthodontics by following the links on our website.

I'd like to bring patients to an ideal state of dental health and then help them maintain their teeth and gums properly so that teeth no longer need to be an unpleasant issue in ones life.
